5. 2013 – Quarter-final – Andy Murray vs Fernando Verdasco
This year’s edition was the first one won by an english tennis player in 77 years. We bet you remember the final where Murray step over Djokovic. Nevertheless, all spectators who were lucky to presentiate his match against the spaniard will not have the same opinion.
Verdasco started the day with confidence, going up two sets in the scoreboard. Everything seems to be getting straight to Fernando. Everyone expected him to go to the next round in that point. However, Andy did not think the same. He came back and managed to overcome the difficulties. A game everyone there will always remember.
4. 2013 – Semi-final – Novak Djokovic vs Juan Martin del Potro
As a background, let’s keep in mind something: this was the longest semi-final in Wimbledon history, lasting four hours and 13 minutes! Do you think it was epic? Well, of course it was!
Everyone was betting on Djokovic to win. He was, and still is, one of the best tennis players in tennis history. But that day you could feel something special in the air. Del Potro was not an easy opponent.
They alternate each set until the fifth. One for each other maintaining the draw until the last moment. Then, after a tense and difficult game the last points arrived. It was the time for the legend to appear and so did him. Novak gave everything from himself and finished beating Del Potro.
3. 2018 – Quarter-final – Rafael Nadal vs Juan Martin del Potro
And again, here is the argentinian tennis player. It looks like he wanted to be in our top five tennis matches of the decade more than once. And he deserves it!
In this occasion both players were giving their best. It was not a bad day for neither of them. And in those situations, nothing bad can happen for a spectator. We could presentiate the most ingenious and incredicle points ever seen in this match.
After four long hours, Nadal found the week spot of del Potro, winnig the point, set and match.

1. 2018 – Semi-final – Novak Djokovic vs Rafael Nadal
Third time the serbian tennis player appears in our top. He sure has a place in this tennis decade!
Regarding the match we could say that even though it was not the final everyone expected it to be even better. Actually, there was no doubt that the winner of this game was going to be the winner of the tournamment.
In that situation, they spent more than five hours on the pitch (because of the rain). It could have gone to either of boths sides but it ended up going to Djokovic’s. If you have some free time we really encourage you to rewatch it. You will not regret it!
